The Town of Cabot, Vermont, population approximately 1400, abuts, but is not part of the Northeast Kingdom. Cabot is located in the northeast corner of Washington County. It sits along the old military route that was begun in 1776 and is now called the Bayley-Hazen Road.
Today, many people recognize the Cabot name due to the popular Vermont cheeses produced and distributed nationally by Cabot Creamery. The Visitor Center offers information about the Creamery and its products along with an expansive tasting display of their cheeses and other Vermont specialty food items.
